Always In Need

BAWA is always in need of essential supplies such as food and medicine, but also more commonplace items such as towels and toys, new or used, are always welcome. You can help us by:

• Providing towels or toys for dogs being treated at the clinic and puppies awaiting adoption.
• Donating an old vehicle. This would enable BAWA to extend its work. Demand for the ambulance is high and vets must also use borrowed cars and motorcycles.
• Bringing non-restricted medicines and equipment to BAWA when you visit Bali. BAWA will provide you with a letter for Customs explaining that the goods are a donation. Contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for details.
• BAWA is currently also seeking donations in cash and kind to provide prizes for the children who take part in the competition, and for a computer and printer for the winning school.

Food Donations

If you plan on visiting us in person in Ubud, you may find it more convenient to purchase pet food locally. We buy all our pre-packaged supplies from Bali Pet Shop on Jalan Raya Ubud - it's very close to both our shop and clinic.

We make the below recommendations based on nutrition - many of the animals come to us in extremely poor health, and food is not only just something to feed their hungry bellies - it is a vital source of nutrition to help them rebuild their immune systems and get healthy and happy again.

Cats

Note: Ideally, we would feed all BAWA felines kitten food (as opposed to adult food). The reason behind this is that it is more calorific and mostly the cats come in needing to gain weight.

• Wet canned food: Whiskas sachets, Friskies kitten food
• Dry food: Proformance (adult and kitten), Royal Canin (best for very tiny kittens being weaned)

Dogs

Note: What would be ideal is to buy us some rice, eggs, chicken and vegetables - and then drop it off to our clinic. However, we understand that purchasing these perishables is not always viable if you are only in town for a short amount of time... even some rice, or the below pre-packaged food is much appreciated!

• Dry food: Bali dogs don't really know what to do with dry dog food. Even the ones on the street that are starving often sniff it and run away, because they have never experienced it before and don't understand that it is food. That said, if you do want to want to buy dry dog food - Eukanuba is definitely the best!
