Animal Welfare

When it comes to animal welfare, there is a lot of work to do in Bali... and BAWA is still a relatively new and small organization, so we desperately need all the help we can get. Financial contributions are always welcome of course but there are many other ways in which you can help, and make a big difference.

You can volunteer your time to assist with the programs running from the clinic. We not only welcome veterinarians and vet nurses who can assist our teams or share some of their valuable experience but also people who want to help taking care of the puppies (and occasional kittens) at the clinic. Puppies require food, play, baths and vaccinations; a continuous stream of puppies requires a lot of food, toys, towels and medicine, and we gratefully accept all of the above. Maybe you have some used towels and toys to donate, maybe you know someone who would be willing to sponsor us with food, medicine or medical supplies.

In order to expand our programs, we need support.Man's best friend needs all the friends he can get. You can make a difference simply by telling friends and relatives about us.

Volunteers Needed

BAWA has a need for both skilled and unskilled volunteers. If you have a particular skill that you believe can assist in capacity building for our organisation please talk with us.

For those of you interested in getting close with the animals; we always need people to assist the staff in the day-to-day care of the clinic animals including feeding, cleaning, puppy socialisation and dog walking. We also need people to distribute BAWA informational material and for those of you who have a knack with children; we need volunteers to present educational seminars to discuss pet care, animal welfare and rabies education to International schools.
