Hi everyone,

Wednesday morning on my way to the office, I drove by Pura Samuantiga, a very holy temple, and across the street from the temple there was a large trash dump area. At the corner of my eye, I caught sight of a tiny little puppy on the corner of the trash dump. I pulled over, tracked it down to give it some food and that was when I spotted three more puppies. It took me about two hours to catch them and feed them. They were obviously terrified of humans and completely unsocialised. I had no idea how long they had been living there but they were in pretty bad condition. I managed to get them into a large cage in my car, got them calmed down a bit and delivered them to the clinic.

I think about how lucky they are because I was able to see them. I was passing by them at just the right time. My heart constantly aches at the thought of how many out there throughout the whole island of Bali, that nobody is looking after and caring for. They are left to just fend for themselves, scavenging through the trash. I am sure most of them probably end up dying. The ones I found this morning are the lucky ones, and if any of you have any room whatsoever and live in Bali, please help us by adopting these animals.

We are getting in about over a hundred animals a month and we’re adopting out somewhere between 60 and 80 animals per month, which more coming in than can possibly be adopted out. We need your help.

Thank you,

Janice

Halo pembaca,

Terima kasih,

Janice
