Hi BAWA friends!

We have good news!  Maya and Shadow (previously known as Acorn) have been adopted into a loving home together; just how lucky they are and the adopters too for getting two new sweet and lively friends!

On the other hand, we have newcomers at BAWA Shop.

Terence and Jack, two sweet puppies, were found on the street without their mother and being sent to BAWA Shop last Friday. Also a few days ago this beautiful baby Carla was found wandering on the street all by herself and is now being taken care of at the BAWA shop. She is now lively and sassy and happy playing with her new brothers & sisters.  We always keep healthy animals away from our clinic to minimize the risk of them contracting diseases, which also means we need places to foster them until they are ready and someone adopts them. We will never get tired of reminding you that we need your help to foster our animals.

Two BAWA friends picked up these two kittens that were dumped off of a taxi right before their eyes on Monday night.  They brought the kittens to their guesthouse and kindly took care of them before sending them over to BAWA Shop the next day.  Another BAWA friend also found a very young kitten, just a few days old, on the street without its mother. She was very kind to bring the kitten to her place to be fostered to a mother cat; unfortunately it didn’t work because the mother cat refused the kitten. One of our staff has offered to bring Kitty home and foster her, which is a very difficult task because Kitty is still so young and it will take a lot of effort to keep her survive without a mother cat.

It is very heart wrenching to see these animals being dumped on the streets; disease prone, starving, walking around looking for their mothers, and some of them are still so young that they haven’t even opened their eyes! At the same time, it is amazing and heart warming to see how kind the people are that we meet every day at BAWA. It really helps to restore our faith in humanity after seeing other people who can so easily dump a two day old kitten on the street.
