Welcome to BAWA

The Bali Animal Welfare Association (BAWA) is a not-for-profit charity registered in Indonesia. Our aim is to relieve suffering, control the population and improve the health of Bali's street dogs.... through medical care, spay/neutering, street-feeding, puppy adoption and education of school children. Please see our programs for further information.

Protecting animals from cruelty is especially difficult if there are no laws against the cruel treatment of animals, and in Indonesia this is unfortunately still the case. Therefore BAWA has started an online petition urging the Indonesian government to adopt such laws. You can read here why animal rights are an absolute necessity for Bali's four-legged population or go straight to the online petition to sign. We desperately need every signature we can get, so please sign and tell as many people as you can.
